Day 04 - Enjoy Day Trip to South Island

Enjoy a delicious breakfast in the hotel before beginning your day with a full-day South Island tour. As soon as you get on South Island, head to Ganga Talao or Grand Bassin, a sizable crater lake that is situated 550 metres above sea level among the Savanna Mountains. The Grand Bassin is littered with little temples honouring the Hindu divinity Lord Shiva and other revered deities. This Ganga Talao is home to a 33-meter-tall statue of Lord Shiva. Thousands of pilgrims travel the challenging distance from the mountain's base to Ganga Talao each Mahashivratri. A sight to behold are the views from Ganga Talao, which is located at the summit of the mountain.

After that, proceed to the dormant volcano Trou aux Cerfs, which lies 1 km away from the village of Curepipe. The 350-meter-diameter and 100-meter-deep volcanic crater is located about 600 metres above sea level. The visitor is treated to a magnificent sight that includes a stunning view of Rampart Mountain and Port Louis City thanks to the rich green vegetation around this volcano crater, as well as a jogging park and a crater lake. The Chamarel Waterfall, a magnificent body of water encircled by rich green vegetation and rugged mountains, is the next place you'll go. The Chamarel seven-colored earth in Mauritius is another well-known tourist attraction. Thousands of people travel to Mauritius each year to see this naturally occurring seven-colored Earth structure. The transformation of lava into clay minerals is the cause of this occurrence.
